Interpreting the brief

Water; the most crucial and the most essential element of
nature could be precisely termed as the elixir of life.
Since the ancient times water has been the reason for the
settlements to happen and till date it continues. One such
example which was left unnoticed is the city of Raipur
which originated due to its rivers and ponds. Raipur is
dotted with many natural and man-made ponds which

were once connected and acted as water detention

basins. But gradually as the city grew and the water
supply lines were laid, the talabs were ignored and the
road network interfered with these water channels.
Raipur was entitled as the city of ponds but today only
a small fraction of its population is aware of it. What
proved to be once its identity is now lost and now the
objective is to reinterpret the city by giving its identity
back, reviving its water bodies and narrate the city in
context of it. Making in the city what made the city is to
be achieved. Parallel projection never has an end, its
thought and ideation are infinite and defines a really
broad spectrum and that is exactly what is conveyed
through our design. .
The way projection could be a reflection of anything similarly parallel could
mean infinite and parallel projection could be otherwise termed as infinite
reflection. In the context of water

city in terms of water.
