Business Analyst Intern for CanDo Coffee

Context
CanDo Coffee (www.candocoffee.com) is a daring new not-for-profit that challenges convention and
creates opportunities for some of those considered to be the toughest people to employ. CanDo
Coffee, and its parent charity, the CanDo Foundation, are designed to offer a range of therapeutic
and business support, providing the vulnerable people with a transition into employment. It is inspired
by the success story of founder, Mark Johnson, who once slept rough on the streets of Westminster
and is now an award winning social entrepreneur.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to gain professional experience, skills and
knowledge whilst contributing to an innovative start-up with social aims.
Responsibilities




Assisting in creating, updating and maintaining company documents


Compiling and administering data (finances, recruitment and partnerships)
Drafting correspondence to, and managing relationships with, key contacts
Attending meetings and taking minutes
Assisting the Director with tasks as and when they arise

This role is extremely varied, but will be primarily office-based. There will be practical elements, such
as occasional shifts at our trading units or visiting potential new sites. As a start-up, everyone
involved in CanDo Coffee does a bit of everything and it is extremely important to be willing to 'muck
in'.

Reliable and self-organised


Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Motivated and enthusiastic with a CanDo attitude
Highly organised with ability to multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular PowerPoint, Word and Excel
