Whererosesblossom,withthenightingales
Hissweetsongminglesinthewilderness
Nofalconismoreswiftupontheprey.
Hisheartuntranquilscornstotakerepose
Beneaththeheavensinthespreadingskies
Hemakeshisdwellings,asonsoaringwing
Herisesfarbeyondyonancienthoop
Thatspansourfirmament,towhethisbeak
Againstthegleaningstars.
Thou,withthyfrail
Unspreadpinion,tentativetofly,
Artlikesomechrysalis,thatinthedust
StillslunmbersonrejectingtheQuran,
Howmeanlythouhastsunk,basecaviller
ProtestingoftheturnofFortuneswheel!
Yet,lyingabjectasthescattereddew,

Howlingshallearthcontenttheeforthyhome?
