TUITION
Tuition is due by the 10th of every month. Tuition can be paid with cash, check, money order, or
credit card. Tuition can be paid to the front desk, sent in the mail, or dropped in the mail slot when we
are closed. August tuition, which is reduced to half of the normal rate, is due by August 31. If your
tuition is not paid by the end of the month, your child will not be allowed to attend classes the following
month until payment is made. Monthly tuition is required in full every month even if your child is absent
from class. Tuition is not pro-rated based on the number of classes in the month. Other than August,
the standard amount of tuition is due each month.

BOUNCED CHECKS
If a check is returned, you are responsible for all associated fees, including those incurred by the studio.

A BALLET CLASS IS REQUIRED FOR EVERY STUDENT except those in hip-hop only.
DANCE ATTIRE
A black studio leotard needs to be purchased for $14-$16 at the beginning of the year. This is a basic tank leotard that
every student should own, as it may be used as part of a costume in performances. It can also be worn to class.
Appropriate dance attire includes leotards, tights, biker shorts, jazz pants, unitards, or other types of form-fitting attire.
JEANS, SKIRTS, AND SCHOOL CLOTHES SHOULD NOT BE WORN IN DANCE CLASS.
Required shoes include pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, caramel jazz shoes, nude lyrical shoes, and pink pre-pointe
or pointe shoes. Appropriate shoes must be worn to every class. SANDALS, BOOTS, SNEAKERS, OR OTHER
STREET SHOES SHOULD NOT BE WORN IN DANCE CLASS.
REQUIRED SHOES FOR EACH CLASS MUST BE PURCHASED. The studio is not responsible for lending shoes to
students on a regular basis. All supplies, except for pointe shoes, can be ordered through the studio. Items must be
paid in full at the time of order.
Hair should be pulled back for every dance class!
NO GUM!
NO JEWELRY!
NO FOOD!
NO CELL PHONES!
NO HOODIES or T-SHIRTS!
PERFORMANCES
Two studio-wide performances will be held during the year. The Holiday Show will be held in December, and our year-end
Recital will be held in June. More information about these events will be made available throughout the year. If you prefer
not to participate in these performances, please inform us as soon as possible. Please see our Attendance and Costume
Payments policies for more information.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance and practice are essential to learning and improving! Trophies are awarded at the end of the dance season to
students who have missed six or fewer classes. If there is a death in the family, religious conflict, or illness, the student
will not be held accountable for those absences. Please contact us so we are aware of those circumstances.
Poor attendance may impact a dancers ability to participate in performances. At the studio directors discretion, students
with poor attendance may be prohibited from performing. Please keep this in mind, as costume payments cannot be
refunded if your child's attendance prevents them from performing.
Classes missed for nonpayment of tuition will count toward your childs overall attendance record.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS and COMMUNICATION
Newsletters are emailed at the beginning of the month. They contain important information and are a great tool for
communication between the studio and parents. Newsletters are also available on our website or at the front desk.
The best and most immediate communication we can provide to you is in person during studio business hours.
You are always welcome to direct questions to the front desk.
PARENT WATCH NIGHT
Parents and relatives are invited to Parent Watch Nights, held during the first full of week of November and March.
As a courtesy to our dancers and teachers, these nights are limited to ADULTS ONLY.
COSTUME PAYMENTS
Costume prices will be sent home the week of November 7. All recital costumes must be paid for in full by Thursday,
December 1, so that we may order them in time for recital. Childrens costumes prices range from $45 to $55 each.
Adult costumes range from $50 to $65 each. We encourage you to make small payments throughout the fall so the
costume total is not overwhelming in December. Costume payments cannot be refunded so make sure your child is
committed to performing in recital before you make your payment.
Costumes for the Holiday Show will be provided by the studio and must be returned in January.
PARKING/DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
Public parking is available on the street or at two public lots in close proximity to the studio.
For your child's safety, please accompany them into and out of the building.
COMPETITION
Participation in competition is open to all students except those in their first year of dance. A production piece will be
offered for students ages six and up. Please direct inquiries about competition to the studio director. A meeting with
parents, dancers, and teachers will be held early in the year to prepare for competition in the spring.
