Calicut integrated power loom co-operative society Ltd (CIPCO TEXTILE

MILLS) was registered on 13 March 1998, keeping Vatakara and Koyilandy Taluk
of Kozhikode district as its area of operation. The plant location is at Mannankave
10 Kms away from Koyilandy Railway station. The Koyilandy Taluk is one of the
major weaver concentrated places in the state.
The textile project of. 33 crores were approved by the government of Kerala
an NCDC, New Delhi with their financial assistance.
The state Government authorized M/s. Kerala in state co-operative
textile federation (TEXFED) as the project implementing agency and the first
phase of the project was commissioned during 2001. Now the mill has considered
as a unique establishment in the textile site with a turnover of Rs. 3 crores.
In Kerala there are 29 textile units, both public and private sector. The
total number of the workers in the sector is about 2500. The power looms and
handlooms in the state are mainly concentrated in the northern district of Kerala
like Kannur, Malappuram, Palakkad, Calicut etc. The CIPCO Ltd was established
by expecting substantial relief to the power loom weavers with regards to the
availability of yarn of required quality of yarn and responsible price.
In the initial state, capacity of the mill was 10000 spindles with two
Shifts. Later it expanded the capacity of 21000 spindles with three shift is
from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm the second shift is from 4.30 pm to 12.30 am and last
shift is from 12.30 pm to 6.30 am. The total employees are 110.
Vision is the visualization one of what a company wants to do. It has some
material parameters like time period, class definition of what to achieve. The
Vision of CIPCO Ltd is to become a best textile unit compared to other two units
of Calicut districts.

Mission is the constituents of the company it does not charge with times
rather all operations of the company are for the fulfillment of the mission. It is the
contribution of company to society.
The mission CIPCO Ltd is to improve quality of the product. The
mission is t develop and manufacture the product according to the demand in the
market.
