Daniel and the Lions

July 31 - August 06

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and

confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each
day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker
on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional.
At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion
and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks
Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in
the foyer of Power Source.

I will not be afraid to obey God.

Father God,

Daniel was a hard worker and did his best. King Darius
made him one of his helpers. The other helpers did not
like Daniel. They tricked the king into making a new law.
It said anyone who did not pray to the king would be
thrown to the lions. Daniel loved God and prayed to Him
three times a day. The other helpers saw Daniel pray to
God and told the King. He was thrown to the lions, but
God kept him safe.
Daniel 6

Thank you for keeping me safe. Thank you for my parents,

teachers, friends, Pastor Ron, and his family. May they
trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own
understanding (Proverb 3:5). Forgive me when I make
bad choices. Help me to obey my parents so things will
go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth
(Ephesisns 6:2-3). I will tell others how great You are and
how much I love you. Thank you that because of Jesus, I
am healed and whole.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

Do not be afraid for the Lord your God goes with you.
Deuteronomy 31:6

Psalms 27:1
The Lord is the light of my salvation; whom shall I fear?
