Choice Board Activity

Unit/Theme: _______Weathering_______________
As requested by
students, complete 1
worksheet about
weathering. This can be
obtained from Mrs.
Houghton on
Wednesday

Go to

Create a video of
weathering, erosion, and
deposition. You may
use iMovie or a stopaction video app to
create your video. Be
able to explain which
part is weathering,
which part is erosion,
and which part is
deposition.

Find an area in your


neighborhood where
weathering, erosion, or
deposition has occurred.
Take a picture of the
location and write a
paragraph about whether it
is weathering, erosion, or
deposition.

Obtain a sedimentary rock


(preferably). Place the rock in a
freezer bag of water. Freeze the
bag overnight and let it thaw
during the day. Document your
observations over a period of at
least 3 days and nights.

As requested by
students, complete the
definitions for the
vocabulary words listed
on the board. In
addition, write an
explanation in your own
words. I recommend
using google to help
you understand what the
word is..
