2016 SESSION
Dear Friends,
The 2016 legislative session that began March 14 presents
formidable challenges in managing the states finances and
opportunities to make substantial changes in the way state
government operates.
Some of the steps we took in the special session and a
number of efficiencies being implemented will reduce the impact of the anticipated
$2 billion budget hole for this next year. But theres still a lot of work to be done.
I am truly interested in getting your opinion on a number of issues coming up in this
years session. Some of them are included in this survey, but with hundreds of bills
being filed, Im sure there are some others that might interest you.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey and please feel
free to contact me or my office to express your opinions on matters before the
Legislature. As always, I appreciate the opportunity you have given me to represent
you in the House of Representatives.
If I can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to call my office.
Sincerely,
John A. Doe
