Barcelona

is the capital of the autonomous

community of Catalonia. It has got a population of

16 million in habitants. Its the largest metropolis on
the Mediterranean Sea. Barcelona is located on the
northeast coast of the Iberian Pennsula.It has got a
Mediterranean climate with mild, humid winters and
warm, dry summer. Barcelona is one of the most
densely populated cities in Europe.

It has got a lot of historic buildings and monuments,

for example,Minor basilice of sagrade Familia;Park
Gell,Palau de la Msica,Casa Batll,It won the
1999 RIBA Royal Gold Medal for its
architecture.Barcelona also has got a great number
of museums,like the National Museum of Catalonia;
the Barcelona Museum of contemporary Art;or
Fundeci Joan Mir.It contains sixty-eight municipal
parks.Montju is the largest,but Park Gell is the
most famous because it was designed by Antonio
Gaud.

It beaches are famous too.Barceloneta is the

largest,oldest and the most frequented.

Its most important business center is the world trade

center,that is located in Barcelonas Port vell
harbour.Barcelona is one of the most visited city in
the world and its the most popular city to visit in
Spain.

Its famous because it has got wonderful

beaches,wonderful climate historical monuments and
nice hotels.Barcelona has a long sporting tradition.In
1992 there was Olympic games.F.C.Barcelona is the
best known club.

Its one of the largest in the world and second

richest.Barcelona is seved by Barcelona- El Prat
Airport.Its the second-largest airoport in Spain.Its
connected to the city by metro,train and bus
service.The port of Barcelona has got a big
commercial importance.The Barcelona habour is the
leading European Cruiser port and a most important
Mediterranean turn around base.

In conclusion,Barcelona is a great city and I

recommend every one visit it.You will pass a great
