Scholar - Practitioner Assignment

In my future classroom I want to create an environment that every
student is able to learn and thrive in. As an educator I would be appreciative
and inclusive of all cultures, racial and ethnic diversity, sensitive to the
needs of different students, show that I care about how my students are
succeeding in their school and social development, and create an
environment to support these needs.
To respect, appreciate and include cultures in the classroom I would
educate the students on the uniquenesses of different cultures. On holidays
that cultures celebrate I would have a mini lesson about that culture and why
and how they celebrate. Or have a travel around the world week to explore
the cultures of the world.
Being sensitive to the different learning styles of the each student is
incredibly important. At the beginning I will determine how each student
learns, and learn how to accommodate and supplement their education. To
inspire the want to learn in my students, I want them to question everything.
Always to ask why something is to understand why something the way it is.
Through making an effort in tailoring their education and providing all
the tools the student needs to succeed it shows that I care about their
success. It is important to show the students that educators care about the
students success, and build the moral of the classroom. The relationships
between teacher and student are very important, because they are so
influential.

Creating a supportive, acceptive environment in the classroom and

within the relationships between student and teacher are things that every
teacher should strive to achieve in his or her classroom. An educator should
pay attention to his or her students educational needs and develop an
understanding of the outside world. The world with all of the different
cultures, and all the different walks of people, and that people are people no
matter who.
