Matt & Callies Newsletter | September & October 2015

Whats next?
We will be leaving with the rest
of our staff team Nov. 8-15 to
go to Tokyo on a vision trip!
Our campuses partner with
international staff in Tokyo and
as part of that we send
students there on summer
mission trips and year-long
internships (STINT). Since one
of our students (Trevor) who
graduated in May is there for
the year, our team is going to
coach him and his team. We
also hope to be able to cast
vision for our current students
when we return- by
communicating to them what a
summer or a year spent there
serving the Lord could look
like!

Our fall retreat in September was a huge success! Represented are

over 120 students from our scope!

Where have the Pfas been?

What a semester so far! From handing out spiritual surveys on multiple
campuses at the beginning of the year, to doing follow-up with interested
students, to sharing the gospel, to speaking at weekly meetings, to
planning and going to Fall retreat, and leading small groups, its been a
full, but wonderful start to the year on the North Orange County and Long
Beach (NOCLB) staff team.
Callie has been mainly focused on reaching out to freshmen at Cal State
Fullerton this year, and its been amazing to see what the Lord has done!
An average 17 freshmen have been coming to the Bible study she coleads each week, and thats only one of multiple on-campus Bible studies!
Callie has also found a lot of joy in having a small group of freshmen over

opportunity to be in our home/kitchen.
Matt has been focused on relaunching Cru at Cal State Long Beach, with
Callies help. Its been encouraging to see 15-20 students come
group Bible studies there! Hes been encouraged to see guys opening up
and going deeper together in the mens small group at CSULB. The Lord
has also connected him with multiple pastors who want to help our
ministry, which has been a HUGE blessing!

background to present a monologue based
on passages in Matthew. Students loved it!
