Hazard Field Trip Route Map

Our group chose to explore these three locations over the world as shown on the map for
our hazard field trip. At these three locations, one may experience three different hazard
earthquake, hurricane, and tsunami, which are located in Lithosphere, Atmosphere, and
Hydrosphere. We will start our journey in Los Angeles, California, Unite States, a region that is
famous for its earthquakes. California gets the most earthquakes on the west coast due to the San
Andreas Fault on the state being the main cause to earthquakes in the states. This hazard occurs
in the Lithosphere. The second stop is Taiwan. Hurricane, also known as typhoon often occurs
here. It starts from North China Sea or the Pacific Ocean and mainly happens in China from July
to September. This hazard occurs in the Atmosphere. Our last stop is the Hispaniola Island
which one may experience tsunami here. tsunami occurs frequently along the coastlines of North
and West Caribbean Sea. The cause of tsunami is the strike between the Caribbean plate with the
North American plate or the South American plate. This hazard occurs in the Hydrosphere.
