Course Purpose
3. Lunch Detention
This class is designed to improve both your English language arts and
mathematical skills. The focus will be to increase understanding of concepts
that each individual student may struggle with. Students will be able to
recognize and apply these concepts in both educational and real-life
applications. The course will also teach students effective study strategies to
positively impact their personal learning.

GRADES
This class is created with the goal of personal
achievement and growth. Everyone is at a different
educational place in their life, but through continued
perseverance everyone can achieve gains. Keeping this
in mind, you will be graded on daily participation (15%),
weekly journals (10%), worksheets (20%), quizzes (20%),
tests (30%), and semester final (5%).
Ask yourself if what youre doing today is getting you
closer to where you want to be tomorrow.
