prevailsin2016.Discrimination,theunjusttreatmentofdifferentpeopleorthings,especiallyon
thegroundsofrace,age,orsex.Insocietytodayyouwouldthinkthatdiscriminationwouldnt
besopredominant,but,itis.Nowitisnotjustaracething,itisagenderandsexualitythingas
well.TodayItookaquestionnairearound,andhadpeopleofdifferentraces,andgendersanswer
them.Thefollowingquestionswereasked:Howdoyoufeelaboutdiscrimination?Howdoyou
feelabouttheBrockTurnerCase?Doyoufeelasifdiscriminationswayspolitics?Doyoufeel
thatawomanisqualifiedtobethePresident?Someofthefeedbackwasmutual,butthenothers
werealsomoreopinionated.AttheendofthispaperIhopethatyouwillbeabletoanswerthe
question,howdoyoufeel?
WhenaskingthesequestionsIdidtheminoneoftheclassroomsinFretwell,sothatitwas
moreoneononewiththeperson.OutofalltheresponsesthatIgot,theoneondoyouthinka
womanisqualifiedtobepresidentshockedmethemost.SomeoftheanswersthatIgotwere,
silenceforagoodfiveminutes,becausetheyhadtothinkaboutwhattosay.WhenIamasked

feelaboutdiscrimination?Igotamutualanswerof,discriminationhasgoneonfortoolong,and
itoppressesallraces.Awhitepersonshouldnotfeelafraidwhenputinapredicamentwhere

theyaresurroundedbyblackpeople.And,ablackpersonshouldnotfeelasiftheywillbe
degradedwheninaclassroomfullofwhitepeople.Whenthehowdoyoufeelabout
discriminationquestioncameupIfoundgreatinterestonhowthemindworks.Isitnaturalforus
tofeelintimidatedbytheotherrace,ortofeelwehavetoactacertainwayarounddifferent
racialgroups?Nowthatsaquestionthatneedstobeanswered.
