Design a meal-plan for an athlete (you choose the sport) for 3 days, 1 of which must be a competition day. Create a pie chart to depict the percentage of each meal coming from fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. Then, write a letter to the coach explaining why his/her athletes should eat the balanced diet youve proposed. Summative Assessment investigative project Through class discussion and lecture, student will be introduced to chronic illnesses/disease, and how they relate to diet. Each student will draw an illness/disease from a hat and conduct research on preventative measures an individual can take to reduce ones likelihood of developing the illness/disease through lifestyle modification in diet and exercise. The student will then present the findings to the class with a visual aid.
