Meeting JANICE ELLIG, CO-CEO Chadick Ellig
Named by Business Week as one of The Worlds Most Influential Headhunters, Janice Ellig is CoCEO of Chadick Ellig, a boutique executive search firm on Park Avenue, New York City. Her 20-year corporate experience includes executive positions with Pfizer, Citibank and Ambac Financial Group which she helped take public after a spin-off from Citibank in 1991. She has coauthored books including What Every Successful Woman Knows: 12 Breakthrough Strategies to Get the Power and Ignite Your Career (2001), acknowledged by Business Week as the best of its genre. And more recently, written articles on the topic of gender parity in the boardroom, a personal and professional passion. Visiting with Janice in her office is like entering her home away from home. I take the elevator to the 25th floor where I meet this remarkable woman. The walls of her office are filled with many awards for her philanthropy, volunteerism, photos of her travels in developing countries, and indigenous artworks; the view from her window is Park Avenue and the Waldorf Astoria. We sit down with a cup of tea and talk networking, developing a brand, remaining relevant, change, and the strategic business imperative for more women on boards.
