YOUR OWN TRAINING BOARD
Designing, Wiring & Manufacturing

Why You should Take this course

Commercial Training Kits have many functions that you might never use and add an
additional cost which make the overall cost of a kit very high.
There is no chance that you will find a kit that match your exact needs.
Making things with your own hands will give you a very good understanding of how
electronic boards are made and will help you be a professional in making permeant
Printed circuit boards.
You can easily adjust the items of the kit and make many copies at your home at a very
low price.
You will get to practice playing with electronics.

What is a Training Kit.

It is a board that includes elements for
introducing PIC microcontrollers and how
to start developing PIC circuits.

The PIC kit usually includes a ICSP PIC

programmer, simple PIC board with PIC
microcontroller and a software.
PIC Boards also include different type of
modules that can be directly programmed
and connected to Microcontroller in
addition to all Microcontroller pins
connected to a female socket to make it
easier to connect with.

How training kits make your programming,

wiring and testing an easy job.
If one of the bullet points in your list of resolutions for this year is to learn everything
about microcontrollers then you must admit that the more you practice the more you
improve your skills.
Having a Lab Development Kit that you design and manufacture according to your
needs will help you have access to everything you wish in a Microcontroller, you can
have all the Microcontroller Pins connected to Female sockets which give you easy
access and allow you to connect a wire to any pic in no time.
Including an ICSP port in your kit make reprogramming your Microcontroller away
much easier job without having to remove it every time you need to test a new code.
When you learn how to design and manufacture your own kit then youll be able to
design and manufacture any module and there will be no need for you to purchase it
at high costs.

What are the main components that must

PIC Socket
be in the training kit.
ICSP Socket
Female Sockets for All PIC Pins
Power socket
Protection Circuit
Power out socket +5v/GND

What are the extra components that

can be added to your training kit.
LCD Socket/Module

make this at home.

What is Printed circuit board design.

A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically
supports and electrically connects electronic
components using conductive tracks, pads
and other features etched from copper
sheets laminated onto a non-conductive
substrate. PCBs can be single sided (one
copper layer), double sided (two copper
layers) or multi-layer (outer and inner layers).
Multi-layer PCBs allow for much higher
component density. Conductors on different
layers are connected with plated-through
holes called vias. Advanced PCBs may
contain components - capacitors, resistors or
active devices - embedded in the substrate.

What is the best software to do that.

Well, basically any software will do the job, the one I will use is Proteus, why you
ask? Well because its a state of the art software the offer flexibility and thousands
of packages that will make creating a board as easy as 1 2 3.
Other alternatives:
1- Circuit wizard.
2- OrCAD
3- Fritizing

How to install Proteus Professional

The Proteus Design Suite is wholly unique in offering the ability to co-simulate both high
and low-level micro-controller code in the context of a mixed-mode SPICE circuit
simulation. With this Virtual System Modelling facility, you can transform your product
design cycle, reaping huge rewards in terms of reduced time to market and lower costs of
development.
In this lesson you will learn how to install Proteus Software which is used to make electric
circuit simulation and will be used mainly to test your code using PIC Microcontroller
Simulation.
First Step is downloading the Software From this Link:

Do exactly like what I do in these steps to get the software up and running.

How to start designing your kit.

Make a list of the things that you will use your kit for.
Make a paper list of the items to be used.
Open Proteus.

Add Kit items once you made your mind about what you need.
