International Foundation Programme
SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) (Malaysia Certificate of Education)
where grades 1-6 are obtained
SPMV (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokesyenal) (Malaysia Certificate of
Vocational Education)

English language requirement

IELTS 5.0 overall with a minimum of 4.5 in each element (speaking,

listening, reading, writing). An equivalent Secure English Language Test
(SELT) will also be accepted.
Successful completion of the International Foundation Programme
enables progression onto an undergraduate course at the University of
West London.

Undergraduate entry

Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for entry

onto a University of West London undergraduate Bachelors degree:
Completion of the STPM with a 2.0 GPA or above
UEC Unified Examination Certificate: Senior Middle Level with an
overall mark of at least 75%
Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi) with a minimum CGPA of 3.0
Polytechnic Certificate
Advanced Diploma (MQF Level 5)
Diploma (MQF Level 4).
Second and final year entry onto a Bachelors degree may be available
for those with a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the UK, with a
pass profile.

Postgraduate entry

Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for entry

onto a postgraduate programme:
Bachelor degree with a minimum grade of C+ or above*
PhD entry: a proposal is required in addition to a Masters qualification in a related subject area.
*Degree programmes from private higher education providers must
be accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and registered
within the Malaysian Qualifications Register.

The International Office provides International Ambassador Scholarships that are intended to recognise and
provide financial support for outstanding students. International Ambassadors act as active representatives
of the University of West London, supporting with events, visits and marketing. Each year 100 International
