English Heritage cares for over 400 historic buildings, monuments and sites from worldfamous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, from Roman forts on the edges of empire
to a Cold War bunker. Through these, we bring the story of England to life for over 10

Overall purpose of the job:


To be responsible for managing a portfolio of key travel trade accounts, primarily for
Stonehenge, to ensure client satisfaction and retention and to drive additional visitors and
revenue.
Delivering to the core business objective of: Delivery of Travel Trade visitor and income
targets
Key relationships: Travel Trade Sales Executive, Travel Trade Marketing Executive,
Stonehenge Operations Manager, Stonehenge Ticketing Manager, Stonehenge Yield &
Ticketing Analyst, Travel Trade Assistant

Main duties and responsibilities:


Account management

To provide account management for English Heritages Stonehenge Travel Trade


clients, increasing customer satisfaction, maximising sales potential and driving
additional visitors and revenue.
To build a welcome programme and establish a retention programme, including
regular face to face meetings and telephone and email communication to aid
relationship building.

To work with internal colleagues to address any matters arising with individual
client accounts and to champion opportunities that may arise to develop the
Travel Trade offer.
To monitor and utilise sales insight provided by the Stonehenge Yield & Ticketing
Analyst to maximise sales.
Keep up to date with travel industry news, market intelligence and competitor
activity to aid strategic input into client meetings.
To provide monthly reports on client relationships, financial performance and
insight to the Travel Trade Marketing Manager and to take personal
accountability for keeping the wider team members up to date with account
activity.
To provide support on other national accounts, as and when required by the
Travel Trade Marketing Manager.

To identify opportunities for product development, proposing to the Travel


Trade Marketing Manager in the first instance.
To give support to the Sales Executive, responsible for driving new business to
Stonehenge, as and when required by the Travel Trade Marketing Manager.
To identify opportunities within existing accounts for driving additional business
to other top Travel Trade sites.
To represent English Heritage at tourism and trade forums, exhibitions and
workshops as required; these may occur at the weekend.

Budgeting and financial control


1. Responsible for the effective control of any delegated expenditure budgets, ensuring
financial procedures and systems are adhered to.
2. To minimise the levels of slow payment from customers and pro-actively reduce and
address potential exposure to bad debts.
