Researched publishing houses to find potential publisher for book
Contacted publishers to gain information to find best candidate
Created media lists for Whatcom County area
Developed contact sheet of local reporters
WWU LEAD (Learning, Environment, Action, Discovery):
Researched environmental health issues, compared local to global research
Interviewed LEAD members to create feature pitches

Outreach
WWU National Residence Hall Honorary (NRRH):
Developed and distributed advertisements for events in all nine residence halls
on campus every quarter for two years
Worked with campus leaders to create email and word-of-mouth promotions
Dedicated time to speak to all nine hall councils to promote events
WWU Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA):
Created and distributed promotional material
Created strategies to distribute to target audiences (i.e. journalism intro classes)

Communication
The Western Front:
Dedicated five quarters to hold several positions on staff
Communicated daily with reporters and editors
Worked to directly address conflict and resolve it
WWU National Residence Hall Honorary (NRRH):
Organized and ran meetings twice a week
Communicated frequently with residence hall staff and faculty
Always responded in timely and professional manner to all inquiries

In Winter 2015, I served as a public relations representative for Western Washington Universitys Associated Students club LEAD. Two other students as well
as myself worked to create a variety of materials for the club.

An example of a branding guide I created in InDesign. I compiled all aspects of LEAD into one document to help combine their aesthetic with their mission statement to create a consistent brand.

WWU PRSSA
In Winter 2016, I served as one of the VPs of Recruitment for Westerns
chapter of PRSSA. I worked to create promotional materials in order to gain
membership and increase meeting attendance.
