COMPUTER ANALYSIS OF UNDERGROUND AND WATER STRUCTURES

Actual underground structures such tunnel and Metro underground station as well
as water structures such as water treatment plants (WTP), waste water treatment
plants (WWTP), Pumping stations will be analyzed and designed.

For the shown structures, it is required to:

1. Make preliminary design using the membrane theory, available tables,
curves or empirical design values.
2. Make a structural analysis of the structure using computer programs.
3. Draw complete concrete dimensions.
4. Give detailed drawings of the reinforcement of the structure and its
foundation.

The final report package of this unit should include:

1. General layout and structural system.
2. Specification of loads, method of analysis and assumptions or
approximations.
3. Neat detailed calculations, description of data.
4. Concrete dimensions and reinforcement drawings.
