LIFE TEEN CAMP HIDDEN LAKE

WHAT IS CAMP

Life Teen Camp Hidden Lake

seeks to create and facilitate an
atmosphere where teens can
experience and encounter
Christ. Life Teen parishes from
around the country travel to
Camp Hidden Lake to retreat for
one week in the beautiful blue
ridge mountains of Dahlonega
GA, where they are immersed
and strengthened in the rich
tradition of the Catholic faith.

STRUCTURE
A week at camp is a
combination of ropes courses,
messy games, activities,talks,
music, personal prayer, and the
Sacraments. Life Teen believes
deeply in the power and grace
of the Sacraments . For this
reason, every talk, moment at
the ropes course, and activity is
designed to support and
strengthen each teens yes to
the Lord and the beauty of His
sacraments.

My experience of Life Teen Camp Hidden Lake can not be
explained as anything other than a miracle. Just like the teens, I
was invited to fix my eyes upon a most spectacular object of
wonder, our Lord. And our Lord I did see. I saw the Lord in the
missionaries abundant, overflowing joy as they greeted the teens
stepping o their buses each week. I experienced the miraculous
power of the living scriptures as the teens and myself sat at the
feet of the speaker each week and listened to them unpack
camps theme of the Lords unfinished work and love in our lives.
I witnessed the miracle of peace as I watched teens oer
themselves and their suerings to Christ at the Holy Sacrifice of
the Altar. The goodness of our Lord was piercingly clear as I
watched hundreds of teens stand in line to receive our Lords
divine love and mercy in the sacrament of confession. I was
blown away by the movement of the Holy Spirit as I watched
teens lift up their hearts and sing our Lords praise in adoration.

Life Teen answered the Lords
call to Haiti after the 2010
earthquake and founded the
John Paul II Center for the New
Evangelization in Madian, Haiti.
There, a community full of
religious, families and
laypeople all serve the people
of Haiti in various roles such as:

I was humbled by the gifts of humility and patience as teens

wiped the floor with me in soccer for five weeks straight. I could
not believe my eyes during the trust fall exercise as I watched
teens fall into the arms of their friends as though they were
falling into the arms of Christ. Like many teens, I was comforted
by the gift of laughter as I watched teen after teen get launched
from the blob at the Lake and was immediately moved with
compassion as I watched the teens comfort one another after
their traumatizing blob experience. At the end of it all, I was
blown away by how the missionaries fearlessly shared the
abundant joy and kindness that could only be the Lords, knowing
that it was never theirs to begin with. To say the least, I have
been given a tremendous gift by every teen, missionary, core
member, youth minister, and mission partner who has ever been
involved with Life Teen Camp Hidden lake.
Thank you to all who have supported me in this mission. I have
no way to truly repay the people who made it possible for me to
receive such a gift of grace but know that I will continue to pray
that the Lord will bless you and keep you; that His face will
shine upon you and be gracious to you and that He will lift up His
countenance to you and give you peace. -Numbers6:24-26

of our teens experience at
Hidden Lake. Over the course
of Session 1 at Hidden Lake, the
teens generously gave upwards
of $10,000 to support the
needs of the St.John Paul II
Center For New Evangelization.
