METHOD OF STUDY AN APROACH TO ENGINEERS

Its been said a lot about work study and its method. Good managers
have been investigating and improving ever since human effort was first
organized on a large scale. Many countries dont seem to have an
adequate supply of competent managers. For they think that a good
managers is able to achieve good results as good as or better than others
experts in field can achieve.

Thats why is important to consider what method of study is. Because

many managers and supervisors always focuses on day-to-day activities,
human or material problems, so they are never free form interruption to
make a good study of different single activity on the factory. This makes
impossible for them to obtain all facts about what is happening in the
course of that activity. Its only by continues observation and study at the
workplace that facts can be obtained. [1]

This means that work of study must always be responsibility of someone

who is able to undertake it full time without management duties. In fact,
work study is a service to management. So consider what method of study
is: Its the systematic recording and critical examination of ways of doing
things in order to make improvements.

So there are different tools to be consider:

Its a mean of raising of productivity

Its systematic
Its the most accurate means yet evolved of setting standards of
performance
Contribute to the improvement of security
The savings resulting continues
It can be applied everywhere
Its cheap and easy to apply
Its the most penetrating tools of investigation available to
management

Managers and supervisors have generally failed because they have been
unable to apply themselves continuously to such things. It is not enough
for work study to be systematic. To achieve really important results it
must be applied continuously, and throughout the organization.
So the basis of successful work study: intolerance of waste in any form,
whether of material, time, effort or human ability; and the refusal to
accept without question that things must be done in a certain way
"because that is the way they have always been done".

El mtodo de trabajo est ligado al estudio del trabajo, la aplicacin de
los mtodos de trabajo depende mucho del estudio que se haga del
mismo. Muchas veces se centran en actividades diarias sin estudiar
detenidamente como mejorar el proceso. Pero mirando los beneficios que
se obtienen se ve que siempre un ingeniero industrial mejorara
significativamente sus procesos se centra en cmo se realiza las
actividades.
