RE: Seeking Employment Opportunities

Dear Sir and/or Madam,

I am a graduate of McGill Universitys Bachelor of Education Program. I earned a degree in
Kindergarten and Elementary Education. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in
History and minoring in Italian Studies.
As my curriculum vitae will note, I have had the pleasure of working with many special needs
students during my first year as a substitute teacher. I worked mainly with children on the
Autism Spectrum, as well as some with learning disabilities. I also spent 39 consecutive days in a
TEACCH classroom, replacing the homeroom teacher.
I have also worked with students from Grade One to Grade Six during my field experiences.
During my time in a Grade Six classroom, I prepared the students to take their end-of-cycle
government exams. I exhibited great knowledge of the MEESR progressions of learning during
this time. I have also had teaching experiences with children outside of the school environment
while teaching Catechism for two years and helping to run a high school youth group. These
multi-levelled involvements helped to shape me into an individual who is very adaptable within a
classroom environment.
I enjoy creating lessons that target many different learning styles and intelligences. I also believe
in treating students as capable members of a learning environment and value their feedback and
opinions. By acknowledging different learning styles and intelligences, I am able to help each
individual child find his or her voice within the classroom. I wish to join the teaching profession
because of this strong belief, and I know I can be an inspiration to a future generation of citizens.
Please find attached, a copy of my curriculum vitae. If there are any further questions, I
encourage you to contact me either by email or by telephone.
Thank you,
Nunzia Pietrangelo
