Welcome to class!

Important News

In the three-year sequence of Information Technology, students will be

developing skills in keyboarding, computer applications, Web 2.0 tools,
broadcasting and presentations. We will also be
covering issues in social media, learning about
copyright and digital ethics, financial literacy and
media literacy. I look forward to working with all
of our FLA Firebirds on technology skills.

Keyboarding Practice
One of the primary skills we will be
learning in Information Technology is
typing. We will be using the site
www.keyboardingonline.com. Please
encourage your student to practice for
both speed and accuracy. Ask your student the SECRET to
successful typing. (Its ok if they have to look in their notes! )

This is a placement test. Typing tests occur each month as just
a way to measure progress and growth.

Bi-weekly Typing Grade 30 pts

Students are expected to type 30 minutes during class time
during a two-week period.
