To perform a reset of the NVM back to manufacturing default

manually
2. Log onto the NVM_Restore folder on the issued CD/Software Set: download the
relevant Nvb file for your machine speed and market region
Note: these Nvb files will not address speed mismatch or Machine Id errors
3. Use the PWS NVM Save & Restore tool to restore the Nvb file. (version WC5735WC5790FLaunchInstallWinEngUS130_00_0002)
4. Enter the following serial number when prompted:
a. XE_(50Hz) = ten zeros (0000000000)
b. XC_(60Hz) = nine zeros (000000000)
5. Allow the PWS tool to complete the NVM restoration
6. Close the NVM Save & Restore tool
Note: After a successful NVM restore the following message may appear:
Diagnostics are active. The system is not available. Please wait
This will occur if the USB cable is disconnected before a pop-up message appears on
the PWS laptop saying to disconnect the USB in 10 seconds
If above message appears:
I. Power off and on the machine.
II. Wait until the machine comes to a ready state.
III. Re-connect the PWS laptop, open the NVM Save, and Restore
application.
IV. Allow the tool to establish a new connection. Do not run the Save or
Restore function.
V. Select exit.
VI. A new pop-up window should appear stating: Please remove the
USB cable now (and if using Tool again, wait 10 seconds before
reconnecting). This will allow you to safely disconnect the USB.
7. Enter diagnostics and re-enter the machine correct serial number located on the
data plate on the front of the machine frame
8. Perform DC604 Registration setup
9. Ensure the NVM value in DC131 09-069 is correct according to the NVM sheet.
Note: If the NVM sheet is not available then an arbitrary value of 900 can be used.
10. Check DC131 09-271. Ensure Develop Age value is, or close to C13 billing counter
value.
11. Exit Diagnostics and verify machine is operating correctly
12. Restore any customer saved data (FAX Phone book etc)
