Heims Classroom Discipline Plan for


PCC and 7th Grade FACS
I expect you to:
Listen to and follow directions the first time they are given.
Have required classroom materials with you every day: CHARGED laptop, writing utensil, any
other specified materials.
Tardy policy: You should be in your seat by the time the bell is finished ringing. If you are not in
your seat at this time, you will be counted tardy.
Weekly Lessons: I will post weekly lessons, notes, homework, etc. to my website,
http://heimfacs.weebly.com It is your responsibility to have your lap top with you every day as we
will do most notes and daily assignments electronically. The website can be accessed anytime by
students or parents. Also any e-learning day assignments will be posted to the website.
Make up work: Make up work should be handed in as soon as possible as outlined by the student
handbook. If you miss the introduction to a project, it will still be due on the same date as the rest
of the class. If you miss the day the project was due, it needs to be turned in to me the next day
that you are back at school. After an absence, it is your responsibility to find out the make up
work you need to complete upon your return; when in doubt, CHECK THE WEBSITE.
Late work: Late work will not be accepted. I expect that you will come to class with completed
homework on the date that it is due. I give you time in class to work on assignments, so this
should not be a problem.
Cheating: Cheating is not tolerated. If you cheat, you will fail that assignment, test, project, etc.
Respect policy: You are only to use items in the room that you have been authorized to use. Do
NOT take anything off my desk, use any of my materials that you are not authorized to use, or
touch/handle/use another students materials unless you have first been given my/their
permission. When finished using classroom materials, it is your responsibility to put them back
neatly.
Kitchen Areas: Stay out of the kitchen areas, these areas are being used by the Culinary and
Nutrition Classes, and they are kept clean and sanitary. When we do the lab portion of the class
in 7th grade, we will used the kitchens, until then, please do not touch them.
Follow all safety procedures: Only use classroom equipment and materials as they were intended
and in the manner instructed. Handle all equipment with care and respect. Failure to do so will
result in your equipment privileges being taken away.
Stay on task: Use classroom work time wisely and do not distract others from completing their
work. Do not talk out of turn, be rude to others in the classroom, or disrupt class.
No candy, snacks, or drinks are allowed in the classroomI will make you throw away any junk
food or pop that I see, so please keep it out of my classroom.
Passes: I will issue you passes within reason. However, the first time that your pass privileges
are abused, you will lose them. Please use them wisely.
Chairs: I expect you to push in your chair before leaving the classroomthis makes the space
safer and cleaner for other.7th Hour: you should place all chairs on top of the tables before you
leave.
Leaving the Classroom: you are to remain IN your seat until the bell rings
Assigned Seating: You are to stay in your assigned seat at all times; if there is a problem with
your seat, please talk to me after class.

Negative Consequences:
1. Warning, possible phone call to parent, loss of classroom or lab privileges
2. Office Referral possibly resulting in lunch detention
3. Any further violations will follow school policy as outlined in the student handbook.
Positive Consequences:
1. Phone call to parent
2. Participation and attitude will benefit you when it comes to 9 weeks and semester grades
3. Classroom privileges
