cleaning and putting away your kitchen. Lab times are short, so be sure to
use your time wisely.
Do not talk out of turn, be rude to others in the classroom, or disrupt class.
No candy, snacks, or drinks are allowed in the classroom.
Passes: I will issue you passes within reason. However, the first time that
your pass privileges are abused, you will lose them. Please use them wisely.
Chairs: I expect you to push in your chair before leaving the classroom
this makes the space safer and cleaner for other.7th Hour: you should
place all chairs on top of the tables before you leave.
Leaving the Classroom: you are to remain IN your seat until the bell rings
Assigned Seating: You are to stay in your assigned seat at all times; if
there is a problem with your seat, please talk to me after class.
Kitchen Rules:
1. Hair pulled back at all times
2. Hands washed for 20 seconds
3. No hand/wrist jewelry or long, baggy sleves
4. No cell phones in the kitchens
5. Nothing left in your sink at the end of the hour unless given special
permission
6. Nobody sits idly during lab timethere are always dishes to do,
counters to clean, towels to fold, items to put away, etc.
7. You will receive a grade for each lab day. If you are absent, you
must complete a make-up lab sheet from home within one week.
8. No horseplay in the kitchens, no flicking towels, no throwing water,
no inappropriate use of tools, knives, electronics, etc. Any violation
of this will result in lab privileges being taken away.
9. Kitchens must be clean by the end of the hour:
Counters and metal tables cleaned and sanitized
All dishes washed, dried, and put away
Stovetops and microwaves cleaned
Sinks wiped down
No garbage or food debris left on floor
All dirty towels and aprons in the washing machine
All food supplies put away in fridge or pantry
Negative Consequences:
1. Warning, loss of lab privileges for the day, grade of zero on the lab
2. Office Referral possibly resulting in ACS
3. Any further violations will follow school policy as outlined in the student
handbook.
Positive Consequences:
1. Phone call to parent
2. Participation and attitude will benefit you when it comes to 9 weeks and
semester grades
