Questions and Clarification for Al Zour Refinery Project

WORK CONDITION
1. Work Visa I have USA passport. Do I need to obtain a Kuwaiti work visa
before entering the country?
2. What is the mobilization date to project site?
3. What are the working hours? I understand its 10 hrs / 6 days a week with an
intermediate break.
4. Travel Will we have access to a vehicle (truck or ATV) for travel within job
site? 80 to 90% of the work will require being at various locations in the field
or laboratory.
5. Do I need to bring PPE hard hat, safety boots, high visibility vest, glasses,
ear plug, gloves and water bottles, or will this be provided at the job site?
Any additional safety gear needed?
6. Is there a makeshift office in place to dock laptop with internet access and
telephone to contact colleagues in USA?
7. Are the electrical outlets compatible with American electronics?
8. Who are the CPT contractors? How are we to interact with the geotechnical
contractors performing the work?
9. What are the immediate objectives and long term objectives of us being at
the project site?
10.Medical Facility In case of emergency, how can I obtain medical attention?
11.Travel and Food will be provided by the project, or do we need to purchase
them out of pocket?
12.What is the hardship allowance uplift?
13.Does the project allow for rotation to USA?
14.Can I get a company credit card?
15.List of softwares required at the job site
a. CPet-IT required for analysis of raw CPT data.
16.Petty cash of $50 to 100 available for travel?
17.Training of SPT Hammer calibration - ____. Details of rig configuration not
available.
18.Ticket is currently booked for one way. Do we need return ticket for visa
processing?
19.Do we need vaccination records for travel?
20.Before going to Kuwait, can I visit Fluor CSA team to
a. Understand clients objectives first hand;
b. Understand field schedule; and,
c. Make-up of the field team.
DOCUMENTS
21.Are there scope of work, work method statement, ITP documents and boring
locations available for review for the work to be performed?
22.Previous Geotechnical reports performed by Fugro for review?
23.Do I need to prepare daily report documenting our findings and present it to
Fluor and TWEI team?
24.What is the timesheet procedure and who will be our supervisor in the field?

25.How will working abroad for 2 to 3 months impact US federal income tax?
Will there be any double dipping where I will be paying Kuwaiti taxes (social
security, income tax, etc) and at the end of year also US federal tax?
