Chris Grice Announces Candidacy for The Woodlands

Township Board of Directors
Grice officially running for Position 4
The Woodlands, TX 8.16.16 Chris Grice, longtime resident of The
Woodlands, announced his candidacy for The Woodlands Township Board of
Directors. Grices official paperwork was received in The Woodlands Township
offices July 25, and his designated Campaign Treasurer, local resident and
business owner Mike Karlins, CPA, filed paperwork on August 15. This filing
allows Grice to begin raising campaign funds.
Grice has an impressive record of public service and community involvement. He
has served as Director of Montgomery County Hospital District since 2014, and
serves as current Chairman of the Memorial Hermann Woodlands Hospital
Advisory Board. He is past Chairman of The Woodlands Economic Development
Partnership and a former Director (Treasurer) of Lone Star Family Health Center,
Montgomery County. In addition, Grice has been actively involved in Rotary Club
for over 12 years and is a former Director on the Harris County MUD 387 Board.
Currently a Senior Vice President at Amegy Bank of Texas, Grice has served as
a Team Leader Private Banking managing Northwest Harris County and
Montgomery County since 2005. He has an extensive banking background,
working in the industry since 1979 as an advocate for both individuals and the
business community for designing, promoting and accomplishing sound financial
goals. Grice promises to bring this extensive banking experience to The
Township Board with a commitment to full accountability and fiscal responsibility.
Grice explains his position stating, Its time for the residents and the business
community to be equally represented on The Township Board in maintaining the
high quality of life we all enjoy here in The Woodlands and responsibly planning
for the future, including incorporation. I am in favor of incorporation but dont think
the township should rush into a course of action without a thorough
understanding of all costs and the complete financial impact to Woodlands
residents and businesses. I dont think there is a big hurry on it. We need to
study it and understand the financial and regulatory implications. I want to make
sure we thoroughly investigate incorporation and are confident it is the right thing

for all our residents. We have an excellent form of government thats working for
us now. Lets ensure we are making the right decision at the right time.
Grice and his wife Gay have lived in The Woodlands for over 12 years, serving in
numerous civic roles and on many boards. Chris and Gay are active with their
extended family of five children and three grandchildren and attend The
Woodlands United Methodist Church.
