I understand that choosing to be an athlete is a privilege at Nimitz Middle School. I agree to uphold the highest standards in the classroom, community, during competition and the athletic period itself. I understand I am expected to display leadership on a daily basis, and excuses will not be accepted for lack of leadership or poor choices. I am expected to be responsible, and accountable for my success both academically and athletically. I understand that the athletic period focuses on strength and conditioning, both aerobic and muscular. It will involve at minimum two days a week on the track as well as onetwo days per week in the weight room (emphasis on correct form and introductory lifting); the remaining day will be dedicated to agility and or team building activities. I understand that when I make a team, I am making a commitment to attending practice four times a week, competing in weekly games, and weekend tournaments. I understand that if I do not uphold these requirements, I can be removed from my team, and athletic period - which will effect my further participation in Nimitz extracurricular athletic programs. ** If youre in athletics, please understand that you are committing to participating in at least two primary sports. Please circle the 2-3 sports you plan to participate in below: Volleyball, Basketball, and/or Track **5 Star Athletes start and finish all 5 sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Golf and Tennis PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY AUGUST 26TH, 2016
