MINUTES OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 6th MAY 2010 IN

SCARBOROUGH COMMUNITY HALL GILDERCLIFFE ST. SCARBOROUGH.

OPENING The President Mr. Jeff Fogarty opened the meeting at 7.43pm and
welcomed everyone.

MINUTES Resolved that the minutes of the last AGM held 2nd April 2009 be and are
hereby adopted.

AUDITOR'S Resolved that the Auditor’s comments regarding the loss of two receipts had been

PRESIDENT'S
REPORT The President thanked the outgoing Vice President – Jo Wallington, Secretary – Cr Jason
Robbins, Treasurer – Connie Pickering, the Committee – Maria Secatore, Roslyn Smith,
Ann Williams and the Publicity Officer – Stan Bessen for their hard work, endeavour, skill
and commitment.
The President spoke of the issues facing the Association in 2010/11, highlighting in
particular the current membership numbers and the need for us all to attract new
members. The secretary mentioned that he still has many flyers for the other members to
collect and place around local businesses, shopping centres etc, we need everyone to
pitch in for the long-term viability of the Association. Issues to keep an eye on this year
included the monitoring of developments at the Scarborough Beach front, the Stirling
Alliance, continued support for our local state member Liza Harvey MLA and the traffic
problems at the Scarborough Beach area.
The President was thanked by John Foley and Ena Butler for the wonderful work he had
done for the Association during the year.

ELECTION OF The President vacated the chair and Mr Kevin Lamb acted as
OFFICE BEARERS Returning Officer for the Election of Office Bearers for year 1.4.10 to
28.3.11

AUDITOR Resolved - that a letter of thanks go to the Auditor for his work and advising of the
Members’ explanation of the two lost receipts and requesting him to continue on our
behalf as Auditor for the current year.

CLOSURE There being no further business the President declared the

meeting closed at 8.11pm
