Assure high quality products. Responsible for validation of methods and processes, maintenance of lab instrumentations (HPLC, GC, ICP,
etc) and assuring good quality of all ingredients and finished goods to meet Corporate and Government standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analysis and Testing
Mass testing breakpoint, drop point, penetration, durometer, pH, viscosity, SG
Analytical testing HPLC, UPLC, IR, GC, XEPOS
Raw material testing
Maintain instruments for testing
Investigation of quality related issues and processes
Prepare samples for testing, reviewing, and recording test results
Filter solvents for HPLC, HPLC troubleshooting (and other instruments)
Perform method transfers for new products/methods
2. Projects
Process improvements
Method Development - Validations / Transfer
Work on various QA lab related projects, revise existing procedures, writing SOPs etc.
Investigation of quality related issues / processes
3. Other Duties
Maintenance of analytical standards
Investigate and assist other departments
Troubleshoot
SOPs creation and maintenance
Training
Represent QA/Analytical Department on new product and GMP related issues
Contacting supplier and/or vendor
Maintenance of inventory ordering supplies
Investigate and purchase equipment
Other duties as assigned
Clean glassware, benches (workstations), disposal of waste
Participate and/or support 5S program and BBS program
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Minimum Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent
2. Ability to see color and pass a color test
3. Minimum of 6 months of work related experience in laboratory instrumentation
4. Sound knowledge of GMPs
5. Excellent written and verbal communications
6. Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving abilities
7. Lab instrumentation maintenance
8. Method Development - Validation
9. Good understanding of the Total Quality role
10. Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SNS, Internet, Intranet, R&D, WMS, Quick IR, Chemstation,
Empower, SAP
11. Shift flexibility a must
