A BETTER WORLD STARTS WITH ME

Introduction:
The great end of education is to discipline rather than to furnish the mind: to
train it to use of its own powers rather than fill it with the accumulation of others.
Actually its our first time to encounter an activity like this, thats why all of us
got nervous. In this activity we are assigned to teach students 5-7 years old or the
grade 1 students. So expect that there is a lot of difference on their attitude. The
class that was handled is somewhat naughty but participative. Even though they
are naughty we really enjoyed teaching and guiding them. Most of the children on
the first meeting are shy type but most of them are really comfortable with us. The
student who is under our care named Christian, is just a little boy, he is very friendly
and shy. Despite of his status in life, he can smile all around with other people.
Reflection
The practice of giving is recognized as one of the most basic human virtues. At this
moment we were the one who give a reward to the children. And while we are
distributing the school supplies or the rewards you can see to their faces a big smile
and that something makes me think that giving such a simple thing touches ones
heart. As we live I would never forget the smile on their faces.
This is my first day dealing with little children that Ive never thought would happen
because honestly Im a person whos interested in childrens stuff and the like. But
as we started to conduct the LTS Program which requires an interaction between
you and the children, I felt genuine happiness, the happiness of seeing children
learning and smiling at the same time because of you and other people sharing and
imparting knowledge and the blessings that you have to children like them. This
day, Ive realized that I have a very wrong perspective about dealing with grade
school children before, because the uncomfortable feeling that I was expecting to
feel suddenly turns into such great feeling of satisfaction and overwhelming joy as I
watched them learning with a blissful smile on their faces brought by us as their
older brothers and sisters.

MISUNDERSTANDING

Introduction:
Challenges are only made by God for him to test our capabilities and also for
us to access our own selves. This can be the best way to mold us to have good
personality and to become a better person. God never give challenges if he sees
that we cant handle it. So be thankful and do not complain on the things that we
encounter in our daily life. Everything and everyone was a factor. And the Man who
made it all work, who blessed us to experience this opportunity is GOD.
Reflection
This is the day wherein Ive seen myself as grown-up sister for my little
siblings who need my love, care and protection. Because this is the time we taught
them how to become a good grooming person. As we let them watch a short story
with a moral lesson which is about being clean in body, Ive seen myself as a sister
caring for my little brother, teaching him how to do the proper washing of hands,
face, and brushing his teeth.
I feel embarrassed by this time because the attitude of their teacher is not
good. I understand it because I know she had a reason why she is like this. The
activity is not good as well because we are not prepared, there is an absence of
teamwork and coordination and that thing is something missing to us. The children
gets bored because the

Reflection
Another day being with them, having cheerful interactions with little
children as we taught them different action songs which always bringing out their
laughters and smiling faces. This day, Ive seen how willing and eager they are in
doing the art activity which was assigned to them. Ive seen in the way they interact
with each other the goal of winning the art activity contest. This time, Ive
appreciated their skills and talents that they have in an early age which is really
admirable.
The 3rd fieldwork in this school where in we were assigned to teach the kids,
we are now in the lesson proper and that was very memorable to me. The little
children we taught were very enthusiastic and participative. I like all of them. As the
activity goes they are very happy as I observed this is there 1st time to watch a
story telling with cartoon characters. And we also give an activity wherein they
make hearts. That activity had given me an opportunity to have such experience
wherein I had view on the other side of life, which I am not used to. There are kids
who have the opportunity to go to school yet they take this for granted, then
ironically there were these kids who despite their unfortunate condition are really
eager to learn.

Introduction:
Reflection
This day, I figured myself as a model and good example sister to them as
we taught them the good moral values and characteristics that they must have in
home, school, and anywhere. As we discussed and demonstrated the different
values, Ive witnessed their obedience as they listen to us and interact with us. But
of course for them to keep those values in their hearts, we have to show them that
we have those values deep within our hearts.
. That activity or event is just simple but yet meaningful, I can say this
because during the exposure I already learned a lot from the student. I cant

mention but all the things that had remained on my mind is that the values that we
discussed to the Grade 1 pupils, it is only now that I realize that values plays
important role in our lives, it matters to all aspect. Be contented with what we have
and live happy. Life is short. Dont make it stressful but live faithfully.

SUCCESS!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Introduction:
They learned a lot of us bur weve learned a lot of them too! We would never forget
the look on their faces after the program. They bid us a Goodbye with big smiles
and with hearts warming.
Reflection
I was used to my comfort zone, but this activity helped me come out of my
shell. It made me share what I have with others without expecting anything in
return. I learned to appreciate what I have and give something back to the
community. GIVING ENTAILS SACRIFICING A lot of things have changed because of
NSTP, my perspective in life, my character, and my personality. I feel that I have
grown up and become a better person that I can be. WE THE YOUTH, HAVE THE
CAPABILITY TO CHANGE LIVES
Dont measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you
should have accomplished with your ability. Im very proud that Im one of the
students conducting such activity. We are really blessed. So I can say that you can
learn by doing a thing though you think you know it, you have no prove until you try.

ANOTHER MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE
