Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Allow me to express my deepest gratitude to all our
family and friends, celebrating with us tonight in this momentous occasion. As we commemorate
80 years of distinction in hospitality at the Raffles Grand Hotel dAngkor, weve been home to
splendid evening galas and hosted significant historic events since it has opened its doors in 1932.
This special night however is in honor of the familial spirit that makes up this incredible teamA
celebration that commends the people behind the quality of service that exemplified the Raffles
excellence throughout the years.
Being part of the Raffles Grand Hotel dAngkor for more than a year, I am honored to witness the
warm spirit of the individuals who have fostered a family over their working life in the hotel since
its inception. And in behalf of the management of Raffles International, we are delighted to present
this commemorative book entitled Our Raffles FamilyA series of stories from 80 of our most
passionate members who have displayed dedication and perseverance truly bringing inspiration
for the next generation to come. This book reflects upon the humble beginnings of their career and
how each journey, through the formative years at the hotel, has honed them to excel as leaders in
hospitality. This is not only a memorabilia but a symbol of appreciating the significance of their
value in the Raffles Grand Hotel dAngkor which it rightly deserves.
