Classroom Economy

How it works.

Rent: Rent for your desk will be due on the 1st of


every month. You will pay rent for the first time on
September 1, 2016. Desk rent will be $150.00. If
you do not have your rent you will be charged late
fees!

Buying your desk: You can purchase your desk


for $300.00. After you purchase your desk, you no
longer have to pay rent and you can spend your Dojo
Dollars however you choose!

*Every Friday we will cash in our Dojo Points for


Dojo Dollars and students will be able to purchase
things during Fun Friday every week.
What can be purchased with Dojo Dollars?
There will be lots of individual prizes for sale every
Friday. Additionally, students can purchase other
things from the list below:

Rent a bungee chair for the day $50.00


Sit with a friend for a day $50.00
Homework Pass (One subject) $25.00
Homework Pass (every subject) $50.00
Lunch with teacher (Last Friday of the month!

Pizza provided!) $150.00


20 minutes of free time $100.00
Extra recess for entire class - $200.00

Additional prize options will be added as the year


progresses. Remember to save your money to buy
your desk. It saves LOTS & LOTS of money!
Classroom Jobs & Descriptions
Dojo Master (1) - responsible for helping

with Class Dojo.


Line leader (1) Leads our class line.
Caboose (1) - Ends our class line. Also,
responsible for closing curtains at the end
of the day.
Custodians (2) Responsible for cleaning our
classroom at the end of the day.
Team Managers (6) retrieves books and
supplies for teammates.
Engineers (3) responsible for taking care
of technology.
Librarians (2) responsible for keeping the
library neat and clean.
Messenger (1) delivers messages to the
office or other classrooms.

Door holders (2) responsible for holding


the doors when we leave the classroom.
Lunch and recess monitors (2) responsible
for handing out lunches and getting
playground equipment.
Homework Helpers (2) helps check off
homework.
Yoga instructor (1) leads the class in brain

yoga.
Teaching Assistant/Substitute (1) helps
Ms. Henry with tasks around the classroom
and substitutes when people are absent.
