DAINIK BHASKAR
Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi: ) is an Indian
Hindi-language daily newspaper that is now the
largest circulated daily newspaper of India It is
owned by Dainik Bhaskar Group (D B Corp Ltd.),
the largest Print Media Company of India. Started
in Bhopal in 1958, it expanded in 1983 with the
launch of Dainik Bhaskar's Indore edition. Today,
Dainik Bhaskar is present in 12 states with 40
editions.
Dainik Bhaskar was declared the world's 4th
largest circulated daily newspaper in 2013-14.

NAI DUNIA
NaiDunia (), is a Hindi newspaper owned by
NaiDunia Media Ltd. NaiDunia (meaning New
World) was born on 5 June 1947 at Indore, just
before the dawn of independent India, most aptly
timed and named. It was established by freedom
fighters Pandit Krishnakant Vyas and Mr
Krishnachandra Mudgal. Pandit Krishnakant vyas
was its first Chief Editor, also, along with the
founder. Further Mr Babu Labhahcnd Chhajlani,
Basantilal Sethia and Narendra Tiwari joined and

Hindustan Times was founded in 1924 by Sunder
Singh Lyallpuri, founder-father of the Akali
movement and the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab
Province. S Mangal Singh Gill (Tesildar) and S.
Chanchal Singh (Jandiala, Jalandhar) were made in
charge of the newspaper. Madan Mohan Malaviya
and Tara Singh were among the members of the
Managing Committee. The Managing Chairman and
Chief Patron was Master Sunder Singh Lyallpuri.
K. M. Panikkar was its first editor; Devdas Gandhi
(son of Mahatma Gandhi) on the editor's panel, and
later editor. The opening ceremony was performed
by Mahatma Gandhi on 26 September 1924. The
first issue was published from Naya Bazar, Delhi
(now Swami Sharda Nand Marg). It contained
writings and articles from C. F. Andrews, St. Nihal
Singh, Maulana Mohammad Ali, Cattamanchi
Ramalinga Reddy, T. L. Vaswani, Ruchi Ram Sahni,
Bernard Haton, Harinder Nath Chattopadhyaya, Dr

The Hindu was founded in Madras on 20
September 1878 as a weekly, by what was known
then as the Triplicane Six consisting of 4 law
students and 2 teachers:- T. T. Rangacharya, P. V.
Rangacharya, D. Kesava Rao Pantulu and N. Subba
Rao Pantulu, led by G. Subramania Iyer (a school
teacher from Tanjore district) and M.
Veeraraghavacharyar (a lecturer at Pachaiyappa's
College).

Free Press of India was an Indian nationalistsupporting news agency founded in the 1920s by
Swaminathan Sadanand, during the period of the
British Raj. It was the first news agency owned and
managed by Indians. Beset by dubious business

The newspaper was launched in 1942 in Jhansi
during the Indian freedom struggle (Quit India
movement) by Puran Chandra Gupta, a nationalist,
to voice nationalistic sentiments. Puran Chandra's
legacy was carried forward by literary stalwarts like
Narendra Mohan who has carried forward the
papers editorial legacy.
