Welcome to Mrs. Wades 3rd Grade!!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Wade and I am so excited to be a part of the Tuscany Hills Third
Grade Team!! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher!! Its going to be
a fun filled year of lots of learning and new adventures. I cant wait to see what the
year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first, Im going to tell you a
few things about me.
I was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia (Its called the Czech Republic now) and I have 1
older sister. My parents and I came to America in July of 1980. As immigrants, we
moved around the Los Angeles area a bit, but my parents wanted the best possible
future for us here. After high school, I attended Cal Poly Pomona University. During
that time, I taught preschool from 1993-1998. I earned a Bachelors Degree in Liberal
Studies in 1998. Next, I earned my California Credential and Masters Degree in
Cross-cultural Education from National University in 2002. During my post graduate
studies, I taught 1st grade in private schools. In 2002, I came to LEUSD and taught 4th
grade at Jean Hayman Elementary. A few years later, I came to Tuscany Hills
Elementary school and taught a 1/2 combo class for a year. After that, I came to 3rd
grade and have been teaching it ever since. Having all this experience will really help
me challenge you to reach for the stars this year!!!
I have been married for 20 years to my best friend. We have four children. Two of
them are at Boise State University (Yes, I cant believe it either) Kora is in her 2nd
year and plays BSU Softball. Karel is a freshman and will play BSU Baseball. We have
Kodi at Temescal Canyon High School and she plays water polo and is on the Varsity
Swim Team. Our youngest son is an eighth grader who enjoys playing basketball and
working on cars. We live here in Tuscany Hills with our 2 beagles, Buddy & Rex.
