ABSTRACT
The reinforcement in any structural member such as Beam, Column, Slab,
Foundation, plays a major role in taking care about the tensile forces acting on
them due to dead load of the members and live load. The steel may be
introduced in many forms such as main reinforcement, distribution
reinforcement, shear reinforcement (such as stirrups, lateral ties). Main
reinforcement take care about the bending, whereas shear reinforcement take
care about the shear force produced in the members. The provision of
reinforcement decreases the excessive consumption of cement and its
aggregates. The report deals with Steps of construction work,
Information about test, arrangement of reinforcement, interlocking of
beams with columns, interlocking of beams with slabs and concreting. It also
deals with types of beams, types of slabs, types of columns and types of
foundations.
