The Lakewood Area Collaborative is invested in your success, and we are excited that you will be joining a group of extraordinary families who have already undertaken this endeavor. The Lakewood Area Collaborative is a group of agencies, organizations and concerned individuals working together to make sure a network of services and supports are available and accessible to children, youth and families. Because a ‘village’ really does raise a child, we’ll work together with you from the beginning of Pre-service or caregiving, and we’ll continue to be available to your family throughout the entire experience of kinship caregiving, fostering and adopting. We can help you by:  Acting as your advocate and liaison  Addressing housing requirements  Problem-solving about any roadblocks that arise  Navigating the process  Meeting other kinship, foster and adoptive families  Connecting to support groups and individualized supports for you and your children
