Grading Policy
Tests are common assessments across the grade level. On literacy,
science and social studies assessments students will be allowed to
reference the text unless a study guide has been provided for science
content.
Math tests and vocabulary/word study assessments are not open book.
Students scoring below 60% on formal tests will be assigned a re-teach
or re-test plan; which may include reassessment, reflection, study
guide, online tutorials, or correcting for partial credit at the teachers
discretion.
Reteach or Retesting only applies to formal tests not informal grades
or formal project grades.
Students who miss an assignment due to pull out services will be given
time to make up the assignment, given an alternate assignment or
receive an exemption.
Late or missing assignments must be completed within 5 days of the
students absence.
If no attempt has been made to complete an assignment or the
assignment is missing, it will result in a 0%.
If a teacher sees that a single test score is setting a student up
statistically for failure, professional judgement will be used.
