Congratulations on your admission to the John H.

Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.
Please follow the steps below to get ready for your first
year at UofT.

navigate your first year in the Daniels Faculty, ask
questions, and meet faculty, registrarial and student
services staff, and other students. If you cannot attend
the session, detailed information will be posted on our
website.
Classes begin on September 14, 2015. You will receive
details regarding course enrolment later in the spring.
Course enrolment generally takes place in mid-to late
July.

Your Offer
Follow the instructions included in your admission
package to accept your offer of admission by the stated
deadline. Check your Join UofT Portal to make sure
your offer of acceptance has been received.

Your Accommodation
If you have requested housing and are offered a
place in a residence, your offer will be sent via email
directly from the residence. Make sure you accept your
residence offer and pay your deposit by the stated
deadline. If you require housing off campus, UofT
Housing Services will be able to assist you in your
search.

Your Courses
The degree and program charts for the Honours
Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies and the
Honours Bachelor of Arts in Visual Studies are available
on our website. Take a moment to look at the degree
requirements and courses and plan what you might like
to take.
The Summer Welcome Event & Academic Orientation
Session will be held in late June/early July. More
information will be posted on our website. This session

Your Finances
If you are an Ontario resident, apply for the Ontario
Student Assistance Plan (OSAP) as early as possible
in order to ensure that you receive a response prior to
September. If you are from out of province, check with
your local funding agency about relevant deadlines. If
you are not eligible for government aid, plan all your
expenses and set a budget to ensure you have adequate
funding available for the upcoming year.
You will receive details regarding tuition fee payments
later in the spring. The University of Toronto Student
Accounts website will be updated with the 2015-2016
tuition fee information later in the spring as well.

Your Student Life

Obtain your UofT student card (TCard), activate your
UTORid, and begin using your UofT email account.
Please make sure your email settings accept emails
and attachments from addresses with an @daniels.
utoronto.ca and an @utoronto.ca domain (check your
junk box regularly just in case).

Watch for information about Daniels Orientation Week
2015 and be sure to sign up! Orientation Week runs
from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11.
