Six Educator Standards

Standard 1: Instructional Planning & Delivery


Teachers will provide standards-based, data-driven, differentiated instruction that
engages students, uses appropriate technology, and makes learning relevant.

Standard 2: Knowledge of Students & Student Learning


Teachers are to ensure high-level learning, socio-emotional development, and
achievement outcomes for all students taking into account the background and
needs of each student.

Standard 3: Content Knowledge & Expertise


Teachers will show thorough understanding of their content, discipline, and related
pedagogy by the quality of design and execution of lessons and ability to match
objectives and activities to state standards.

Standard 4: Learning Environment


Teachers will maximize student learning through safe and supportive learning
environments that include effective and efficient routines, clear behavior
expectations, and organization.

Standard 5: Data-Driven Practice


Teachers will use formal and informal methods to access student growth and adjust
instructional strategies and content delivery as needed to ensure alignment with
instructional goals.

Standard 6: Professional Practices and Responsibilities


Teachers will hold themselves to a high standard for Individual development, pursue
leadership opportunities, collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with
stakeholders, maintain professional relationships, comply with all campus and
school district policies, and conduct themselves ethically and with integrity.
