Reflection:
All teachers need periodic training on the code of ethics because its important that
teachers serve as the best role models for their students and training can help serve as a
reminder of acceptable behaviors, as well as, bring forth clarification on gray areas.
Unfortunately, unscrupulous teachers in the past have taken things too far, crossing
boundaries that should have never been crossed, which hurt their students some scars
lasting a lifetime: inappropriate relationships, cheating scandals, etc. Violating ethics not
only harm the students, but can cost an educator their privilege to remain in the classroom.
Therefore, ethics training is important because it can protect the students and the teacher.
