Chiller Using Thermal Heat Deviation (Thermal Storage) Mixed VCO (Virgin
Coconut Oil) "and Soybean Oil. Thesis. Strata 1st of the Education Department

This study is an experimental research for at obtaining the percentage mix
of VCO and soybean oils suitable for use in the chiller system. This study was
conducted to determine the performance of the chiller cooling machine with
thermal storage using a mixture of VCO and soybean oil. In testing the VCO and
soybean oil mixture that gives the best results is a mixture of 20% due to the long
cooling time that can be produced is 37.46 minutes The test results by using
thermal storage VCO and soybean oil mixture showed that the cooling time that
can be overcome by thermal storage to 5 % is 9.03 minutes, 10% was 9.2 min,
15% was 7.92 minutes, 20% was 12.03 minutes. The results showed the best
results is a mixture of 20% due to the long cooling time that can be produced is
37.46 and 12.03 minutes time savings.
