Examination Scheduling Instructions for the Project Management Professional (PMP)

Important Information About Your Name Please Read:
In order to be admitted into the testing center, candidates must bring Government Issued Identification that shows both a
photograph and a signature. If a candidates Government Issued Identification does not have a photograph or a signature, an
additional Secondary Identification with a photograph and/or signature (which ever is missing from the Government Issued
Identification), must be brought to the testing center.
Further, a candidates identification must exactly match their name as it appears on the scheduling notification. If the name
on candidates identification and your scheduling notification do not exactly match, candidates will not be permitted
to test, and will have to pay the re-examination fee in order to reschedule. Contact customercare@pmi.org with any
questions regarding this matter. Candidates from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, e-mail emea-servicecentre@pmi.org;
candidates from the Asia-Pacific region, e-mail asiapacific-sc@pmi.org.
PMI will not make any exceptions to this policy.
Candidates who are disallowed to test because of a name issue will have to complete a re-examination form and pay the
appropriate re-examination fee.
The following are acceptable forms of Government Issued Identification:
Valid driver's license
Valid passport
Valid military ID
Valid national identity card
The following are acceptable forms of Secondary Identification:

Re:

PMP Candidate Confidentiality Policy

Our office has received a number of telephone calls from examinees and from instructors conducting examination preparation
workshops for the PMP Credential Examination inquiring whether PMI has a policy on post-examination debriefing.
Examinee questions generally fall into three groups:
1)

I attended a pre-examination workshop, and the instructor called and asked me if there was
anything on the examination that was not covered in the class. Can I give the instructor this
information?

2)

I just took the examination and passed. Can I give the people in my study group who have not yet
taken the examination examples of the questions and answers?

3)

Im thinking about taking a workshop from Company X. They use PMPs who just passed the
examination to provide training for the examination. Is this permissible?

Instructor questions generally fall into two groups:

1)

What can I ask someone who took the examination about the test, and can I repeat this
information to my students?

2)

If I didnt ask, but an examinee offered to discuss with me some questions/answers seen on the
examination, can I use this information in my class?

When a candidate submits an application, he or she agrees to abide by the PMP Certificant and Candidate Agreement and
Release. This document addresses the answer to the post-examination debriefing question. The PMP Certificant and
Candidate Agreement and Release states, Furthermore, I agree not to discuss, debrief or disclose, in any manner, the
specific content of the certification examinations questions and answers to any individual. The questions shown above
are examples of potential violations to the PMP Certificant and Candidate Agreement and Release Policy located in the PMP
Credential Handbook.
If a PMP is found to have violated a test-related policy, his or her credential status could be affected. Should you have any
questions or concerns regarding test security and confidentiality, please do not hesitate to call the Certification Department at
PMIs Global Operations Center.
