Operations in the response process

Phase 1:
Visual input and encoding of stimulus and its parts.
Classification of the stimulus and/or its parts and a
rank ordering of the many potential responses that
are created.

Phase 2:
Discarding potential answers that have low
ranking.
Discarding potential answers through censorship.

Phase 3:
Selection of some of the remaining responses by
reason of traits or styles.
Selection of some of the remaining responses
because of the state influences.

After these phases or operations have occurred, the


delivery of the first answer to a blot is given.
