All CUS student proposals must be approved by the SGA before being submitted. All SGA
approved proposals must be submitted to the Dean of Students.

Introduction a brief overview of your proposal, learning outcomes, and expectations on how
this proposal would enhance the student community. An introduction should give the reader a
thorough, but concise understanding of the proposal.

Purpose a brief outline of the purpose of the proposal. Is the proposal Mission appropriate? Is
the proposal in compliance with University policy and procedure? If the proposal involves a
recommended change to University policy or procedure, please indicate this in the introduction
as well. This section should include the appropriate Student Affairs Student Learning Outcomes
beginning on page two of this template.

Significance why is this issue important to students or the student experience? Approximately
how many students are or would be impacted by this proposal? What data do you have to support
your proposal (facts, surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)? This section should be about
student opinion, satisfaction, and factual student experience information.

Budget does your proposal have budgetary considerations? What is the itemized budget for
expenditures? Are there revenues associated with the budget? If needed, what funding sources
are you proposing are utilized?

Timeline is this proposal time-sensitive? Is there an implementation process? If an event,


please include the event schedule. Please note that any programs must follow the Student
Activities & Leadership policies and processes for events.

Conclusion a thorough, but concise summary of why you are submitting this proposal.

Transformative learning is reflected throughout the programs and services within the division of
student affairs at Immaculata University. To this end, it is our goal that students graduating from
Immaculata will be able to acquire a better developed understanding of self as demonstrated
within these learning outcomes.
