Course objectives

The aim of the course is to raise the students awareness of appropriate


building technologies, crafts and materials in design.

Course outline

Appropriate building technology: analysis, objective, target population.


Design and construction of earth materials, bamboo, fiber reinforced
concrete, solar energy, wind energy etc.
Project: Practical design and construction exercises. Construction of
actual model buildings using experimental materials.
