rangingfrom4to6m.Thesetemplatesarebiocompatible,inexpensive,andeasyto
produceanddecomposebycomplexationwithEDTAatneutralpH.Inaddition,CaCO 3
microparticlesofferalargesurfaceareaforadsorptionofsubstancesofinterestdueto
theirporousstructure.
TheprocesswasinitiatedbyrapidmixingofequalvolumesofCaCl2andNa2CO3
solutions.Theprocedureresultsinhighlyhomogeneous,sphericalCaCO3microparticles
withanaveragediameterrangingfrom4to6m.
